He is also the author of monographs Pioneers and Robots and Caricaturists. The annual Golden Ribbon Award is granted each year to creators of the best children’s and youth books published in the Czech language. It has existed for over 30 years and represents the only award in the Czech Republic exclusively dedicated to children's literature. The award is announced by the Czech section of IBBY – the Society of Friends of Books for Youth – with co-organizers including the Children’s Book Illustrators Club, the Translators’ Guild, the National Pedagogical Museum and Library of J. A. Comenius, and the Museum of Czech Literature. Other books from the FaVU publishing house have also received recognition, such as Obrazy jiné touhy, nominated in the competition for the Most Beautiful Czech Books of the Year 2024, or the book Háček + Čárka, which won the Muriel Award 2024 for its contribution to Czech comics.
